Upcoming TA and Training Sessions

 

  • APPLY NOW to become a Certified Application Counselor (CAC) organization— Health centers in Federally-Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) and State Partnership Marketplace (SPM) states receiving outreach and enrollment supplemental funds from BPHC must apply to CMS to become CAC organizations in order to certify appropriate health center staff and volunteers as CACs.

    Guidance on how to apply as a CAC can be found on the
    marketplace.CMS.gov website. Access the application to become a CAC organization directly.

  •  2013 BPHC Annual Satisfaction Survey – BPHC’s annual survey is an important feedback opportunity for our program. We encourage all Health Centers, Look-Likes, Health Center Controlled Networks and Cooperative Agreements partners to participate. Look for more information and the link to the anonymous survey in an email from CFI Group.

  • Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) grants announced—HRSA announced $3 million in Affordable Care Act funds to support six new health center networks. These grants are in addition to the $18 million awarded to 37 health center networks in December 2012. HCCN grants will support the adoption and meaningful use of certified electronic health record (EHR) technology and technology-enabled quality-improvement strategies in health centers.

 

 

  • HRSA-Sponsored Health Center Consumer Assister Training Webinar Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm ET. Learn more about the different types of certification available for outreach and enrollment workers, how these requirements apply to health centers, and where to go for help.   • Affordable Care Act Marketplace Resources –Useful information and outreach resources from marketplace.cms.gov:
  • It’s Just Good Medicine: Trauma-Informed Primary Care Tuesday, August 6, 2013, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm ET. Join HRSA and the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) for a webinar exploring how patients’ traumatic experiences lead to avoidance of needed care and services.   •  ICD-10 Basics Thursday, August 22, 2013, 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm ET. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is offering a free training session to help providers prepare for the transition to ICD-10 next year. Continuing education credit may be awarded. Space may be limited; Register Now.
